Best High Schools in America for 2012 Featured

Every year US News & World Reports ranks the best schools in the country. Their list includes High Schools, Colleges, Universities, Grad Schools & online Schools.
This year, of the 22,000 ranked High Schools in America, 20 of the top 100 or 5% were from New York State, including the prestigious Bronx High School of Science, Queens High School for Science, Stuyvesant High School, and The Staten Island Technical High School.
Of those 20 top 100 New York High Schools, 4 of the top 100 were from Long Island. Those include Locust Valley, Jericho, South Side & Commack.
Schools were graded and ranked on the following criteria;
- Teacher/Student Ratio
- College Readiness
- Math Proficiency
- English Proficiency
