China Serves Fully Cooked Living Fish to be Eaten Alive

Maybe 1.3 Billion People can be Wrong.

When a culture devises a way to keep a species alive while they cook it just so they can serve it to someone to eat, fully cooked while it is still alive then I am include to believe that there is something seriously wrong going on.

In China a new delicacy involves keeping a fish alive by a chef smothering his head in a wet cloth while they fry the hell out of his posterior.

The fish is alive during the cooking process, the serving process, the 'pour sauce on it process' and even the 'dig in and eat the living, fully cooked back half of this poor animal' process.

WARNING THIS IS DISTURBING!

If you ask me, this is one giant step backwards in the progress of man.

Maybe it's OK for a Lion to eat a gazelle while it is alive and still breathing, or a pirannah to eat another fish while its still alive, but for a civilized human to take extra steps to make sure an animal is still alive while it is cooked, seasoned & sauced up just for the thrill of eating it alive:
